Dr. Fleischman grew up in New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He returned to New York to attend the Albany Medical College followed by training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Yale University School of Medicine. He is actively involved in organized medicine. He is currently a member of the Executive Board of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In addition he is the Past President of the New Haven County Medical Association and Council Member of the Connecticut State Medical Society. His area of interests include new technology in obstetrics and gynecology. He also serves on the Board of the South Central Chapter of the American Red Cross. He lectures extensively on alternatives to hysterectomy, including endometrial ablation procedures, and the management and treatment of urinary incontinence. He is married to Andrea and has four children, Samantha, Julie, Zoe and Adam.
